Be Still and Know is a personal app for visualization scripts you write and record. This page describes what the app stores and where it goes.
What stays on your devices
Scripts, scenes, recordings, attached images, practice sessions, review dates, goal queues, and playback settings live in the app’s SwiftData store on the device.
iCloud
If you are signed into iCloud, that store syncs through CloudKit in the container iCloud.com.
Microphone
Recording a scene uses the microphone. Audio stays in the local store and, if iCloud sync is on, in your CloudKit data. It is not uploaded to a Be Still and Know server — there isn’t one.
Photos
You can attach images to a scene from the system photo picker. Those images are stored with the scene, and sync with it if iCloud is on. The app does not browse your whole library.
Apple Music
On iPhone, the countdown music bed can read your music library so you can pick a playlist. Be Still and Know does not upload that library.
Diagnostics
An on-device error log records audio-session and CloudKit account-status messages so you can see what happened. It does not leave the device.
