MindHeist is a personal app for planting short ideas, recording them in your voice, and repeating them over time. This page describes what the app stores and where it goes.

What stays on your devices

Scripts, recordings, tags, categories, listen counts, playback settings, and revision history live in the app’s Core Data store on the device.

iCloud

If you are signed into iCloud, that store syncs through CloudKit in the container iCloud.com.sphericalwave.MindHeist. Sync uses your Apple ID. MindHeist does not run its own account system.

Microphone

Recording a script uses the microphone. Audio stays in the local store and, if iCloud sync is on, in your CloudKit data. It is not uploaded to a MindHeist server — there isn’t one.

Apple Music

On iPhone, background music and Rise & Shine can read your music library so you can pick a playlist. MindHeist does not upload that library.

Notifications

Optional local notifications fire for morning/afternoon reminders and Rise & Shine. They are scheduled on the device. They are not push messages from a server.

What we do not collect

  • No analytics SDK
  • No advertising identifier
  • No crash-reporting service
  • No MindHeist backend that receives your scripts or audio

Children

MindHeist is not directed at children under 13.
